About
Myke Atkinson ran as an independent in the 2025 election. He won on a platform of thoughtful density, community vibrancy, and improving every Calgarians’ options for travel. He was part of the early advocacy efforts which brought free transit for riders under 12, and continues to advocate for it to allow all youth under 18 to ride for free. As an advocate for safe cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, Myke envisions a Ward 7 where you are never more than 4 blocks from a cycling network route. As he works to advocate for the needs of Ward 7, Myke continues to work with other councillors for solutions to difficult issues in our city while maintaining his belief in an equitable approach.
